How to: Flapper Girl Headband

I've found a piece of old sequin embellished elastic and instantly decided to use it for a headband. It was a quick easy deal, only about 10 mins. You'll also need regular elastic band, needle & thread, a hot glue gun or just glue and scissors. Here's how to do it:

Measure around your head and find out the length of the normal and the sequin elastic.

Handsew together:

Cover the seams with bias binding or normal ribbon. I used my hot glue gun for that.

Done! :)

How to: Cabochon rings - The spacy version.

I used nail polish to spice up some of my cabochons :)

Varnish the setting and a cabochon with nail polish of your choice. Let dry and glue cabochon into the setting.

How to: Galaxy ring

A quick way to create a universe to wear on your finger.
If you don't want to print a galaxy pattern, you can also paint it. I mixed violet and shades of blue. Sprinkle glitter on it when it's still wet!
Let it dry, then glue the cabochon on the paper. Let dry and cut properly around the cabochon to get rid of excess paper.
Looks like this now.
Varnish the back with ..varnish, I used Marabu. It will prevent your paper from getting wet.
Hotglue the cabochon to a ring base.
And done :) Next time I'll use more glitter and maybe even a bit of silver acrylic paint for more structure. Or I just go print something out, but this is less fun I think.

What about New Year's Eve?

Yes, I've also got a New Year's Eve post ready for you.
I've been thinking about my outfit for that special night and collected some pictures I wanted to share with you!

(source of all: Pinterst.com)

This year I'm keen on glitter. I'd love to wear a sparkling dress like this...

...with matching nails:

Different style, but I would also absoluteley go for this one:

Or this goth-like minnie mouse dress:

But with these silver cupcakes, the party is bound to be awesome!

And oh, the girly girl in me also wants shoes.

This is the nail design I will be rocking:

Midnight blue nail polish & silver glitter! I love it!
What are you planning to wear on New Year's Eve?

How to: Glitter button earrings

I already decided to wear them on New Year's Eve :) They're so cheap, I didn't actually pay a thing - I've had all the materials at home already. But though I now have to pay... for the matching dress. :P

Here's how to do it:

Remove the loop of the buttons with scissors
Cover a button in glue
sprinkle glitter on it
After that, wait a little, then turn the button to let excess glitter fall off, then put another coat glue on it
I waited for a day, I don't know when it was properly dried..
Then I painted everything that wasn't glitter with nail polish and glued on the earring studs with a hot glue gun :)

Done! :)
