Today I had time to tighten a xxl shirt I bought in the Men's section of a shop. I love that Jack Daniels print and already have a black tank top with it.

How to: Blue Loose Jumper
This is the second jumper I made with that pattern, I just love it.
How to:
Get a shirt/jumper you like to duplicate it with a different fabric. Mine is from Camden Market in London and I love wearing it, it's so comfy.
Cut around.
For the sleeves, in case you had a shirt like mine:
Measure how long you want them to be (maybe try with another jumper). Remember to double the fabric for each sleeve.

Close the seams. I trust in you to know where they are supposed to be. You won't sew your collar together xD

Second hand DIY: Altered jumper

| 2. Get a shirt that suits you well and start with the sleeves. Lie it on the jumper and draw a line around the perfect sleeve onto the big sleeve. Sew & cut excess fabric |

| 3. Do the same with both side parts. Make sure your seams are clean and straight as it will affect the look when wearing it: Wrinkles, too much space, too tight parts etc. |

Shopping at OASAP (Review)
Ok, I don't do shop reviews normally and this blog is all about crafts and inspiration, but I was so glad when I found a few reviews on the web about certain online shops, so I thought it would only be an advantage for every reader and potential OASAP client if I did one, too.
You'll find OASAP here and it seems that they have regular coupons, plus a 20% off for every newly registered customer. I haven't used mine till now because my orders were only so tiny. I also couldn't use the Halloween code "Halloween2012" because my first order was only 31 €.
Big thing is, OASAP does worldwide free shipping and the prices aren't so high that one could say 'Ok, I know where the supposedly 'free' charges went...' That is NOT the case. Of course in this shop you'll find very expensive stuff, but also small prices considering that shipping is free!
Shipping my first order took 1,5 weeks from Hongkong to Germany. I was always informed where my order currently had been, except from the last, say, 4 days when it was delivered from London to Germany.
My first oder was this fleece lined cardigan (I reject to call it parka somehow...):

Pro's:
It's very cosy and worth its 30€! The price tends to fluctuate, so ... It fits well, I may need to tighten it around the waist. Colours are stronger than in the picture which is good.
The shipping was as fast as it could be, I was always informed which is very satisfying.
Con's:
It STINKS when it arrives. Yeah, the way you would imagine it to stink. I must admit, I wore it anyway the first day, couldn't wait. After washing it it should be fine.
I noticed that the fabric wasn't the most beautiful but still absolutely what you can expect for the price!

I'm already waiting for my next order, a winter jacket (hopefully warm enough):
It was 33 € (now it's 44) for only 5 hours left and I thought it was a real bargain... And I must say I like not knowing what it will look like on me, in the worst case I can still alter it!

Second hand clothing
This is a post I've prepared for a longer time, an important part of it was to get my clothes shot by Kimmy (her blog: http://kiamisu.blogspot.de/ , you can also like her photography on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Kiamisu ). Because I still don't have a new camera and because she just does it better than my Mama :D
So the thing is that I decided to visit a new second hand store on my way home a few months ago, and I found a red oversize jumper for 2 €! Considering this was a rather big amount of fabric for 2 €, it was worth it and I knew I could either use the fabric, or the pattern of the garment, or just sew it tighter. Plus, I love long shirts that go over my hip because they're perfect for winter.
So the end of the story was that I kept the shape of the jumper and used a belt to stress my waist, trying not to get lost in the big piece of fabric.
I got obsessed soon and went to other second hand stores, the fact that it was SO cheap and there were so many possibilities to change the clothes, I was thrilled by it. I bought sweaters, coats, shirts... even skirts, I turned one big pleated skirt into a cape. And these are the garments I got photographed:

A black cardigan for 4 € which was bigger before and had golden buttons. I bought new black ones and tightened the cardigan.
Sweater with a pattern I love! Was oversized before too, maybe owned by an old man. 2 €

Black sweater, size M, had an ugly satin collar which I removed.1 €
I can only recommend to visit second hand stores. Those were only a tiny bit of the stuff I bought, actually now I have brand new (well, you know what I mean...) clothes for the whole autumn & winter and spent at most 50 € for all of them.
Of course I also still go to stores like H&M, and recently I bought a lovely jumper that I wanted to show you.

Oh, and I bought it in size XL. Soooo cosy. Way too big. I don't care!

Feature: Ruffled skirt tutorial (Sew Dang Cute Crafts)
I wanted to share with you a tutorial I just found! It's for making a Charlotte Russe inspired skirt by Sew Dang Cute Crafts. Another blog that seems like a big source for tutorials. I love the ruffles of the skirt and when I saw how easy it is to make one, I just had to show you. :)
