How to: Removable flower clips

I found a tiny tutorial for felt flowers on Pinterest here!

Follow the instructions on the pic in the description. I used two layers with 5 petals on the lower and 4 on the upper part.
Don't forget the yellow felt dot!

Glue on clips on the backsides and attach them to the shoes :)

How to: Union Jack Heart Patch

Steps:

Print out your heart pattern and gather your materials!

Transfer onto denim

Prepare red straps

You may have to double the ribbon, just play around and try out what looks best.

sew on

After lots of patience, you now have your almost ready patch.

I recommend to reinforce it with fusible interfacing.

Cut it in shape a bit and then you're done! I sewed it on the back of my shorts ;)

How to make your own patches

An easy way to make own patches for bags etc.

1. Cut out the shape & iron it on fusible interfacing. That makes it more stable.

2. Use cross stitch for the edges, I sewed around about 3 times.

You don't have to do that actually, the interfacing protects the fabric from fraying.

How to dye feathers

Recently Michelle (her blog -> http://miss-miserys.blogspot.de/) gave a variation of feathers to me :) I dyed some of them. That's super easy using La Fiche Directions (Hair dye). I've had them at home (2 shades of blue & pink, turquoise).
That's what the feathers looked like before:

During the process:

And in the end:

Let them dry and afterwards you'll have more colour in your life :)
They're a litte ..scruffy..now.. harassed by the haircolor chemicals maybe.. I should've used a conditioner xD
Here some photos of the other feathers:

How to: Fabric-covered buttons

After procrastinating, here's the button-post :D And why they aren't exactly buttons anymore and things you can do with these darlings instead!

This is gonna a a (stolen) tutorial about covering old buttons with lovely fabrics. Crazy people like me do things like that with'em:

...Rings. And as a consequence you get compliments from kids on the train! Really happened! :D I also have an order from a friend, she wants one with a purple care bear. Yay for childhood heroes!
So, here we go:

http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/fabric_covered_buttons

that's what I discovered later. First, I did it in such a dumb way, which you can find here:
http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/fabric-covered-buttons
Right.
Plus, the first method is waaay faster done when you're sitting in a lecture taking notes... :P

That's what it looks like when you want to cover the wrinkles with felt. I wouldn't recommend it though if you want to make a ring because then it gets too thick and sticks out afterwards which won't look pretty.

I've made loads more but they aren't photographed yet... I'm planning on more. And THAT'S WHY buying tiny scraps of fabric pays! The main point is having the print at home.
Other options to use them might be hair bows, maybe even earrings, bracelets, Buttons for bags, everything that can be decorated... :)

Versions: More owls!! :D

I'd like to present you some of my recent creations :) I love these owls!! I also did a version of Undead Hoot Hoot Bag Charm by gwenives... only my black wings didn't turn out so well :/ it's because I've stuffed them, later on I saw gwenives hadn't stuffed her owl's wings. Another new one is a sleeping one (in blue) and an emo one for my boyfriend :P just a little joke ^^
